The Online Era – Article 8

‘Tis the holiday season…and love is in the air.
People are gathering with family and friends! Stores are bustling and jammed with last minute shoppers! Churches are seeing patrons for the first time all year! Kids are out of school on a sugar high anticipating Santa’s arrival! Coworkers are exchanging baking! Homes are lit up all over town and people are in the holiday spirit!
However…
Most of us are spending more money than we have. Some of us are estranged from friends and family. Mail carriers are overwhelmed. People in the service industry are underpaid. The lack of sun creates a palpable misery straining mental health. Year end is here bringing stress for workers with deadlines and budgets. And if you forget to move that ‘Elf on the Shelf’ for your kids…it’s just a disastrous day.
So, whether it’s online – or IRL – remember to give one another grace. Smile. Shovel your neighbour’s driveway. Drop some change in the charity bucket. Practice gratitude for what you have – don’t focus on what isn’t yours. Being kind costs nothing.
My advice for today: You attract what you expect – so expect great things in 2024! Wishing you a safe and peaceful holiday!
