It was a beautiful day in the park. The birds were singing and the squirrels were playing. People were walking their dogs, having picnics and enjoying their daily jogs. People were distracted with bewilderment as a young lady was sitting on a park benchA young lady, very upset sitting to the right side of a park bench wearing a white blouse and a dark skirt with a green Croc (sandal) on her knee. An older gentleman sits to the left looking at her. Hehas white hair, glasses, a brown jacket, with dark shirt and dark pants. holding a shoe in her hand. Her voice, drowning in tears and sadness, started to get the park goers attention. Everyone carried on with only scowls and head shaking. One kind old gentleman was walking by and needed to rest his bones, but there were no other benches near by. He was tired so he had parked himself beside the sad young lady still holding on to her shoe. He thought to himself maybe she had a hole in it or maybe a broken heel, it was hard to tell due to his failing eyesight. He slowly found a way to get comfortable on the bench. The sweet old gentleman continued listening to the young lady’s sobs. “What’s the matter sweetie? Why are you so sad?” He asks.
She responded, through her tears, that her shoe will simply not talk to her. To lighten the mood and calm her down, he simply replied with a noble gesture. “Maybe your shoe is just tongue tied.” He then smiled after the kind hearted and witty joke he had just said to her. She sobbed once, twice and a third time. She said back to him. “My shoe can’t be tongue tied, It’s a Croc! Crocs don’t have tongues!”
