Issue 7 Episode 7:
After Khonsu introduced himself to Ichabode, he apologized for the way his body guard, Mr. Bqi Bqi, had handled him. “Mr. Bqi Bqi over there, he doesn’t like it when folks try to rush into the light, he’s very protective of us. He’s slow with his head but fast with his hands, if you know what I mean.” Ichabode’s ears perked up and with a bewildered look on his face, says “Us? ” “Yes, us.” A softer voice exclaimed from a darkened corner of the room. Ichabode turns around to see 4 obscure silhouettes. One of them then takes a few steps forward and walks into the light to where a face can finally be seen. A huge sigh of relief falls on Ichabode as he realizes that it’s Akasha. “We are the last of the Progenitors of Light. When our ancestors arrived, they scattered to the four corners of the world and gave their gifts to all of the tribes, and instilled in their hearts, the power of love, insight, compassion and empathy. Our gift was the key that unlocked the power of your hearts. We’re here because that power is in grave danger, and ever since our boat exploded, we knew that someone was trying to stop us.”
A puzzled Ichabode asks, “Here? Why here? I don’t understand, because we are nowhere near the four corners of the earth, you’re way off if you haven’t noticed. ” “Maybe I can chime in on that!” Khonsu says. “This city is steeped in history. In 1669 the french arrived, then by 1671 all of the First Nations Tribes had sent their delegates here to meet at a cross that was raised on top of the hill, thousands of them witnessed a ceremony proclaiming the land for King Louis XIV of France, that’s how the story goes, I thought everybody knew that!”
