Issue 03-07 Episode 04

** FROM WHERE WE LEFT OFF IN 2044
As Morky Mork and Chadwick’s interest in Kawkee Bondi peaked, they both felt compelled to leave “The Howling” with him. It was as if they were bound by an invisible force, linked to each other’s steps, and wherever Kawkee went, they tagged a long. As they exited the bar and walked down the street, the air around them hinted a breath of familiarity, as though their adventure was repeating from another reality.
** BACK IN 2024, The scene is Ichabode’s apartment and with him are Kohnsu, Mr. Bqi Bqi, Akasha and her sister Dr. Kassandra Baume. After watching the old film reels, which were discovered in a box along with his hospital records, Ichabode decides to open up and share his story and the memories that came flooding back to him when his memory was triggered.
As Ichabode describes the scene of his memory he starts to shake and twitch nervously. A distracting pain throbs in his neck and begins hurting. Ichabode messages the area with some force as he speaks…
“I was 5 years old and in the first grade when I had my first memory of a past life. This first memory occurred at school and it terrified me, as nothing like this had ever happened before. Inside of my head, it was as if someone or something had changed my mind’s channel that was broadcasting my life. What I saw instead was an empty channel with just a bunch of static noise and video fuzz.. In my mind, I was trapped inside of the TV and pictures started to radiate all around me. I saw myself on top of a pyramid, speaking to those around me. My voice bounced off the steps below, then carried further, echoing out into the distance…. So when the channel inside my head switched again, I was back inside the classroom feeling like I had just come back from a very long trip. Ms. Voluspa, noticing my dazed and confused expression, asked me to repeat what she had just said. I told her that I couldn’t because I didn’t hear any of the words that she spoke. She then asked me if she needed to speak into a speaker for me to hear her, to which I replied “No! But you might want to stand in front of a pyramid. Did you know that they were the first ever voice speakers?”
With an evil, and twisted sneer she asked, sounding as if her throat were full of marbles, “Why would you say something like that to me? Then, as if she was trying to mock Ichabode, she asks, “Who or what do you think you are?”
I answered her, “I don’t know who or what I’ll be in this life, but in a past life, I was a great speaker, and everyone listened when I spoke to them.”” Ms. Voluspa reacted with the most evil laugh I had ever heard, and as loud as anything she blurts out, “You will never become anything, and always remain a stuttering, fumbling fool.”
Ichabode looked quite pale as he finished his tale. As he released his hand from the back of his neck, Mr. Bgi Bgi notices that there is a little blood on Ichabode’s hand. They all gather close to examine the back of Ichabode’s neck and discover more blood. Kohnsu then instructs Dr. Kassandra Baume to examine the area. Dr. Kassandra Baume, after cleaning and inspecting the wound, finds a peculiar, small puncture or injection point.
