Our last episode ended up with Morky and Chadwick getting drunk at The Howling, the most dangerous nightclub in Sault Ste. Marie in the year 2044. They have just met Crowley (the crow), but he has shapeshifted himself into human form and introduced himself as Kawki Bondi.
“Let’s just say I know a few things,” Kawki Bondi said cryptically. “And tonight, you’re going to want to listen.”The entrance way to the bar The Howling with a poster of the band PanTroyVika, who is performing there.
Morky, all wide-eyed and surprised, says, “Oh, so you know about me? How’s about I say I know a few things about you? I’ll tell you now, my great auntie Maggie (god bless her soul) was the great Bulgarian mystic, Magia Morkitrova; she could read anyone with just the slightest touch.” Morky then reaches out and accepts Kawki Bondi’s handshake, and when their palms make contact, random images start flashing through his mind. As he processes them in his brain, the ones that stood out were at the end, showing still frames of Crowley’s last meeting with Voluspa. Morky then pulls away from his handshake to stop the influx of too much information, shakes his head, and exclaims with bewilderment, “You were sent here by Voluspa!” Bar goers that heard her name quickly gasped; some of them choked as they sipped their drinks, and others shook with an unnerving sense of anxiety. “We’re not supposed to utter the names of the wicked in here; it’s bad karma for the bar!” Said Horst Korkn’son, the bartender and owner of The Howling.
Chadwick, sensing Morky’s unease, steps in and asks with a whispering voice, “Who or what is Voluspa?
Kawki Bondi chuckles softly, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Voluspa is a very powerful sorceress, one who has been causing havoc in our world for centuries.
“Morky and Chadwick exchange worried glances, realizing they have stumbled into something far more dangerous than they had anticipated. But before they can make a run for it, Kawki Bondi leans in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper, and says
“I can tell that you’re lost, and that you have no idea how you got here. I can bring you back to where you were, but I need your help.”
