Back in 2024, Khonsu and Katherine Baume just arrived at Ichabode’s apartment with the film reels and projector. They were finally all together and drawn to the ancient contraption like moths to a flame, each with their own expectations and hopes for what they might see.An old movie projector sitting on a small wooden table in a dimly lit room. There are a couple of film reels resting on the bottom shelf of the stand.
Akasha turns to Ichabode and asks him, “Are you ready to see what’s on these old reels? Do you have any idea what might be on them?”
He answers, “I’m ready, as for what I think what might be on them, I have absolutely no idea. Home made movies of birthdays and other events maybe?”
Khonsu then says, “Ok, projector is all set and ready to go, turn down the lights and enjoy the show.”
The old, dusty projector hummed softly as it struggled to cast the first images of the film onto the bare apartment wall. As the familiar clicking of the projector filled the air, they had no idea what they were about to see.
As the first frames of the film flickered into life, it seemed as if they were all instantly transported to the past.
The room was cold and sterile, with bare white walls and a single dim light casting eerie shadows across the floor. A young boy lay motionless on the bed, his chest rising and falling slowly with each breath. His eyes were closed, his face serene and peaceful, as if he were in a deep sleep.
Then, as if guided by an invisible force, his hand began to move across the surface of the bed and reached for A crayon that was on the night table next to his bed. He then stood up on the bed and started drawing symbols, diagrams, equations and ancient codes on the wall beside his bed. His movements were precise and fluid as if his hands were controlled by a puppet master.
The next scene in the film is when he’s back to sleep and the drawing is complete. The door to the room slides opens and you see a man, dressed in all white, retrieving the camera and bringing it up to the wall to record the drawing in great detail. It then quickly fades black as it reaches the end of the reel.
