After Ichabode reads the first
page of the mirrored book, he flips it over to find that all of the following pages are empty. With a confused look on his face, he closes the book with an aggressive snap and asks Khonsu;
“The mystical order that this book speaks of, does it still exist? There’s no more information about them, and the rest of the pages are empty! What kind of book is this anyway?
Khonsu then goes onto explain the book. “It’s called a Libra Mantium, it scries automatically and the context of it will always change, depending on which cover you gazed at before opening it. Everything that we see and experience contains matter, and all that we can’t see and experience, is anti matter, a symmetrical mirror image that exists on an opposite and invisible plain. In the simplest terms, everything around us has a flip side or a mirror image and this book, or device, hahaha, has the capability of accessing it and showing it to us. I have no idea how it actually works, but if you open the book without looking at one of the covers, it will be an empty void. Your reflection is what activates it.”
“So it’s a double sided magic mirror with empty pages in between it.” Ichabode says.
He then asks ” Was I supposed to have something to do with this Mystical Order?”
Khonsu answers “Yes, but your life went down an alternate path that led you to us. It’s our duty and moral obligation to help you get on the right path that will lead you to your true purpose in life.”
“This is really deep stuff, I’m not sure if I’m cut out for all of this. All I want to do is go home, fall asleep and wake up from this crazy dream!”
Dr Kassandra then chimes in ” You can’t! You’re being tracked by an evil witch named Madame Voluspa, and last I heard, she’s got a new henchman that has a huge appetite for destruction, no pun intended! He’s a real monster and if he gets you in his grips, you’re done like dinner!
Ichabode then cries out “Oh for crying out loud, this is getting crazier, and more unbelievable day after day. Why is this happening to me?”
