With champagne in hand and their attention focused on him, Oleg proudly unveiled what brought him into Just A Purdy Face looking for a job. Just who is this International Man of Mystery?

Oleg: “I have had quite a journey getting to where I am today. I am originally from Belarus. I grew up in a military family with my parents and my older brotherOleg Travlofkosky, a well dressed man in a grey suite with a dark coloured shirt. He has short hair and a goatee. Nikolai. My father is Belarusian and my mother is from Lithuania. They met while my father was stationed in her country. They eventually settled in Belarus a few years later. I can speak four languages Belarusian, Lithuaian, Russia and fluent English. Unlike my brother, the military life wasn’t for me and after Mom passed, I needed to figure out what I wanted to do in life. That was 12 years ago. I bounced around odd jobs until one day I went to get a haircut and met a gentleman who changed my life, Frank Barbazzoli. He took a liking to me and noticed that I looked professional and well groomed. He asked me what I did for a job since he could tell with my accent that I wasn’t from this country. I explained to him what we are discussing now. He immediately asked if I had any inclination to be a barber? Hmmm…. That was an interesting question. I asked how it was possible? It was a proposition worth some serious consideration, especially since I was currently in a less appealing warehouse position. He explained to me that his kids are gone and all he had was his shop and could use a protégé. He was so kind. He even offered me one of his two apartments that were vacant at the time. Frank paid for my training and groomed me to who I am today. That was 10 years ago.”

Renata: “So what brings you into a salon looking for a job?”

Jasmine: “Especially when you sound like a devoted person to your craft.”

Dio: “Shh. Shh. Shh. Everybody… Let him finish. This is quite interesting.”

Oleg: “Here is the reason why I am here. Three months ago Frank and his Carmalina decided to retire together. This meant he put his shop up for sale. He felt really bad, as it put me out of a job. A few months had passed and barbering jobs were just not there. Frank always told me live modestly and chase your dreams. Most importantly never be complacent and never give up on what you are good at. I am here because this is a business to the city and you have an open chair. If one day, I want to fulfill my dream, maybe this just might be the proper place for me.”

Antoinnette: “You have a charming personality. Dear… S’il vous plaît… Share with all of us. What is your dream?”
