With some reluctance and a bit of encouragement from Jasmine, this mystery girl, still nervous, had some questions. Who is it that wants to meet me why does she want to meet me?

Jasmine: “By the way, my name is Jasmine Purdy. I run the daily operations of this salon.”

Girl: “Oh! I’m Tess.. Tess Galbraith, but I would….”

Jasmine, in a sudden moment of recollection, cut Tess off in mid question.

Jasmine: “Galbraith? Galbraith?” As she repeated excitedly, “Sorry to cut you off. I did a gig two summers ago for the Galbraith and Broadhagen wedding. Is there any relation there?”

Tess: “As a matter of fact there is. That is how I already knew who you were. Tracy Galbraith is my cousin. I was totally awestruck by the work you did on herTess Gilbraith, a young 18 year old, pretty girl with long flowing reddish hair. and her party. When I asked who did the make up and nails she said your name. I’ve been following you on social media and studying your video posts ever since.”

Jasmine: “Oh…” Caught a little off guard. “Thank you. That’s kind of you to say and you brightened my day.”

Tess: “You’re so amazing. You actually inspired me to go into being a make up artist. I enrolled in the Esthestics program at the college. So far, after a couple of weeks in, I’m loving every minute of it. When I read up on your posts that you were opening your own shop, I just had to come check it out.”

Jasmine stood there a moment, humbled by Tess’s remarks.

Jasmine: “I’m honoured that I provided your inspiration to get started.

Tess: “Listen, I’m still wondering who wants to meet me. Was that the older lady I caught a glimpse of through the window? And why would she want to see me?”

Jasmine: “Right! As I asked earlier, if you have time now, lets go in and find out. Yes, Miss A is the one you likely saw and she owns the salon and would like to see you. You may as well meet everyone else too, while you are here.”

Tess: “Well, I do have a few moments I can spare. I still don’t know what I did though.”

Jasmine: “I am not sure either. For me though, Miss A has been so wonderful. Everything you’re about to walk into is all thanks to her. As you are aware, a few months ago I was still working out of a gig bag.”

Tess: “Yes, that’s right.” Still a little nervous, she motions her hand to the door. “Shall we proceed then? I’ll follow you in.”

The two young women entered the salon, one following the other, and then stood together near the waiting area.

Jasmine: “Miss A, here’s Tess Galbraith. I believe you may have noticed her earlier. Tess, this is Miss A.”

Antoinnette: “Tess, I appreciate you taking the time to see me. If you don’t mind, can you come a little closer s’il vous plaît? That way I can get a better look at you.”

Tess: “Hello…” Tess began hesitantly, then, turning slightly towards the staff, offered a quiet, “Hi everyone.”

Antoinnette: “Galbraith, is it? Now that I see you, you bear a striking resemblance to someone who I used to know a long time ago. If I remember correctly, your grandmother was Gwen Galbraith?”

Tess: “Oh my gosh… Yes.” Tess more relaxed and less nervous continues, “She was my Grandmother. I’ve been told, many times, that I am a spitting image of her.”

Antoinnette: “It’s incredible! Even when you were just at the window, I had a flash of recognition. You’re her double, just as she was fifty years ago when we first met.”

Tess: “Thank you. Looking at old pictures of her, it’s clear she was my Grammy. How did you know her? I’d love to know how you knew her. It’s such a strange and wonderful coincidence that we’re both here now, connected through her.”

Antoinnette: “Tess, your grandmother and I go way back, nearly 50 years. It’s funny how things connect. I’d like to share how I knew your grandmother.” Antoinnette smiles and asks, “Have you got a moment… or two?”

Tess: “Oh wow. I would love to hear it, but I have to be at my job in like 20 minutes.”

Antoinnette: “Tess, I have a story I think you’ll find quite interesting about your grandmother. Everyone, if you’d like to hear it, please gather around.”An elderly prim and proper looking lady by the name of Antoinnette St. Armand

Jasmine: “I can’t wait to hear this!”

Dio: “A story? I just love, love, ‘luuuve’ stories!”

Mindy: “Antoinnette, don’t spare any details. I just hope my next appointment is a few minutes late.”

Renata: “Miss A, fire away.”

Oleg: “With all due respect, I should sanitize my scissors and combs. I’ll still try to listen in though.”

Nelson: “How is this ‘story’ suppose to make money?”
