Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Jasmine felt she couldn’t let this opportunity slip away. With a smile that could light up a room, she extended out her hand and accepted Antoinnette’s gracious offer.
Jasmine: “It’s a deal!”
Antoinnette: “Splendid!
We need a plan. Luckily, I have connections who can provide up to three extra chairs for the hairstylists, on top of your make up services.”
Jasmine: “I completely agree with you. A combination of hair and make up services would be an excellent complement.”
Antoinnette: “This is progressing quite well. Hmmm… Now let’s talk about the back of the store. Since I plan to be very hands on and be here on a daily basis, I would like to convert one room into an office. Do you have any thoughts on the remaining rooms?”
Jasmine: “Oh… Ummm… Well… Putting me on the hot seat! What if we were to expand our services further by including a day spa service? I think we could add some services, such as; facials, aromatherapy, body wraps or massages. I can do some of the services as long we have another experienced person. This expansion will bring us to a full-service salon.”
Antoinnette: “What an amazing idea! I absolutely love it! I don’t think it will take much for my contractors to transform the rooms into a day spa. We just have to find the right people to make it successful.”
Jasmine: Excitedly states, “Exactly!”
Jasmine began to glow as she cannot believe how well this venture is moving along. Antoinnette then presents her with the million dollar question.
Antoinnette: “Alright Jasmine Purdy… How quickly could you conjure up a name that captures the essence of our salon?”
Jasmine feeling rather elated, is thinking, “name, ummm… name, I have to deliver a pretty decent name.”
Antoinnette: “Dear. I can see it now! It’s written all over that pretty face of yours.”
Jasmine: “Oh… You’re so flattering.” As she says with a smile, “I guess I’m just another pretty face.”
Antoinnette: “Fantastique… That’s it right there!” Just A Purdy Face. I just simply adore it.” It only makes sense, since you’re going to be… the face that runs the place.”
Jasmine: “This is all happening so easily. Wow .. Was it suppose to be this easy?”
Antoinnette: “I suppose it was. I have some planning to do with my contractors, and I know you have some preparations of your own to work on in getting the salon ready. So… Are you ready for the ride?”
Jasmine: Confidently replies, “I sure am.”
At that moment Nelson comes back in looking and sounding more than a little impatient.
Nelson: “For goodness’ sake. Are you about ready, already? I do have a golf game in an hour.”
Antoinnette: “Oh.. For heaven’s sake, always impatient! I’m coming. I’m coming.” Antoinnette turns her attention back to Jasmine.
Antoinnette: “Jasmine Dear. Go ahead and get started with what you have to do and we will touch base in a few days. In the meantime, I’ll contact my contractors to get a head start on the renovations. With your input on the design and services, I’m confident we can be up and running by August 1st!”
