Oleg returned from his car with his “tool bag” in hand ready to impress Antoinnette and secure a spot. Meanwhile across the room, the rest of the group carried on sipping champagne, nibbling on appetizers and talking about how excited each was on next week’s opening. Antoinnette was looking for suggestions for opening day to debut with a bang.
Antoinnette: “Just A Purdy Face is pretty much ready to go. What avenue can we take that will make us really stand out.”
Jasmine: “We’ve primarily relied on our website, word-of-mouth recommendations, and significant announcements in the local “See It Now” newsletter to promote our business.”
Dio: “That’s what we need! A spiffy advertisement that stands out.”
Renata: “Jazzy! You should be the one to stand out!”
Jasmine: “Why me?”
Mindy: “Why not you? If it wasn’t for you, none of us would be here right now.”
Antoinnette: “Jasmine dear. She isn’t wrong, she has a valid point.”
Jasmine: “Oh! I’m too shy to have my face splashed on a page in the newspaper.”
Nelson: “Newspaper!!! That’s expensive!!! Next idea!”
Oleg: “Please sir, don’t move. I’m about to give you a shave.”
Jasmine: “How about a spot on the radio?
Antoinnette: “That’s a fine suggestion.”
Nelson: “Oleg! Gimme a second or two.”
Oleg: “I suppose sir. Speak your thoughts.”
Nelson: “Given radio’s growing popularity, Antoinnette, are you forgetting who I’ve been acquainted with for quite some time?”
Antoinnette: “Who is it?”
Nelson: “I am friends with and sit on a few boards with Carson Gallagher the station manager of 106.6 Today’s Hits.”
Dio: “Oh! Oh! Oh! …I like where this is going.”
Antoinnette: “Ok, now I remember who he is. What are you thinking?”
Nelson: “Let me make a phone call and let’s see where this goes.”
Renata: “Maybe you can let Oleg finish your face first.”
Nelson: “what? Oh right! Please Oleg. Continue.”
Oleg: “Thank you sir.”
