The month of June, what a perfect summer day for Antoinnette St. Amand to watch her granddaughter get married. She sat comfortably sipping her glass of Red and white "Hello My Name Is" Name tag with Jasmine written on it.wine patiently awaiting for her to emerge from getting ready. Moments later, the sound of the doorknob sparked everyone’s interest on what was to come. Being let out first was the esthetician, followed by the bride and her girls. They all lined up as the esthetician raised her hands to present her work.

Jasmine: “I now… present to you all, the bride and her party.”

A huge round applause surrounded the room from the few friends and family who were there. Forever the perfectionist had the girls sit down for a last minute check, just to make sure everything was 100% perfect. Her work did not go unnoticed by Antoinnette. Getting closer to showtime, the esthetician gave the bride an encouraging hug and began to pack up her make up case. As she snapped the last lock, she turned and locked eyes with Antoinnette. They both smiled and exchanged nods. Antoinette intrigued, signalled for her to come over and sit.

Antoinnette: “Bonjour Mademoiselle. I have been watching you today. I am very impressed with your work.”

Jasmine: “Oh thank you so much. I do admit though, it was a big job today.”

Antoinnette: “I’m the bride’s Grandmother, Antoinette St. Amand. What’s your name?”

Jasmine: “Jasmine Purdy.”

Antoinnette: “Such a pretty name. I must say, I love your outfit. The purple blazer over the fuchsia summer dress really brings out your hair.”

Jasmine: “Oh, Thank you. I try to present myself as professional looking as I possibly can.”

Antoinnette: “Do you have your own salon setup?”

Jasmine: “No madame. I operate on the move. I work out of my bag and do house calls.” And smiled back with confidence.

Antoinnette smiled back as thoughts began to roll through her mind, as she sees something uniquely special in this Jasmine Purdy.
