With just two weeks before the grand opening of Just A Purdy Face, Antoinnette couldn’t be more pleased with how well things were progressing. Now that Renata Simons has joined the team, she was more than happy to take Jasmine and her new find out to lunch. Jasmine was about to turn off the lights and lock up as Nelson’s suburban rolled up to the front of the salon.
Jasmine: “Miss A, Nelson just pulled up. Are we ready to leave?”
Antoinnette: “Indeed we are!”
Renata: “I really do appreciate you taking me to lunch.”
Antoinnette: “Think nothing of it dear. I’m just so excited on how well things are flowing and… We are right on track to open in two weeks”
Jasmine: “My gosh! Don’t say it like that! I’m nervous enough already.”
Antoinnette: “Nonsense, dear! Everything has clicked so far. We just need to find another person to fill that last empty chair.”
Renata: “Oh really? So we need one more body to cement the team?”
As the trio entered into the Suburban, Nelson was introduced to Renata as part of the team. Once everyone was buckled in, Antoinnette leaned over closer to Nelson to speak with him.
Antoinnette: “Nelson dear, I’m taking these young ladies to Alessandro’s for lunch. You are welcome to join us if you would like.”
Nelson: “I haven’t had lunch as yet, so I think I shall join you all. This is going to a business expense for the books. We can use this experience as a write off.”
Anntoinnette: “Of course brother dear.” She rolled her eyes and continued, “We need to keep those receipts.”
Jasmine: “Getting back to Renata’s question before we jumped in. Yes we have myself with the make up chair, Dio Alvarez took the first chair, yourself in the second chair, and Mindy Cerone has the spa which leaves the last chair to be filled.”
Renata: “Hmmmm. Interesting. You might not have to wait that long at all for someone to apply.”
Jasmine: “Oh…. Really? … Do you have someone in mind who might want to join the team?”
Renata: “Well… Kind of… Sort of. Before I met you all, a kind gentleman allowed me to sit in his car during that down pour. He said he was a barber and was interested in applying. A funny thing happened then and he got drenched himself, and didn’t feel presentable walking in looking like a drowned rat.”
Antoinnette: “A barber? I don’t see how a barber could fit in an establishment like ours. Did he say he was going to return?”
Renata: “A barber… I know right? Although, he did say he was going to return at some point, but didn’t let on as to when he that would be. This man came across as very charming and professional. He did have an adorable accent as well. He just might be worth a look.”
Nelson: “Here we are ladies Alessandro’s. I will let you out at the main door while I park the truck. I will be right in.”
Antoinnette: “Thank you Nelson.”
Jasmine: “Renata, did you happen to catch his name?”
Renata: “… Oleg Tver…la or something. He spoke his last name so fast, I’ve already forgotten it.”
Antoinnette: “That name sounds somewhat familiar. Anyhow. Ladies our lunch awaits us. Please… After you ladies. When we are finished lunch, Nelson and myself will take you both home and in two weeks the magic happens.”
Jasmine: “The day before, we can all meet for a more formal introduction.”
Antoinnette: “Jasmine dear. That’s just like you. Always thinking.”
