It’s Grand Opening day at Just A Purdy Face, and radio personality Syklar Michaud is going over her notes with Jasmine. Soon the locals will be hearing the
live interview on 106.6. With mounting nervousness, Jasmine awaited the prompt from Mercedes and The Mongoose in preparation of her big moment.
The Mongoose: “Good bright Saturday morning local 106.6 listeners! We just finished a ‘pop-a-thon’ of 10 big hits in a row. So Mercedes! What is next on our agenda?”
Mercedes: “Well Mongoose, we are just a few moments away from joining our very own Skylar Michaud who will be live from Just A Purdy Face Salon… Good morning, Skylar. What’s happening down at Just A Purdy Face this morning? By the way, I totally love the name.”
Skylar: “Oh gosh! Just the name gets me excited to be here…yes. Good morning guys. I am down here at the corner of Farnsboro and Wentworth for the grand opening of Just Purdy A Face. This amazing new salon offers so much. I have the manager, Jasmine Purdy here, it’s in the name, to give us some ‘snippets’ of what’s all going on. Jasmine….. Jasmine Purdy.. Hello and what a pleasure it is to meet you. Can you tell us about the variety of services your salon offers and will have our listeners looking and feeling their absolute best? Tell us everything!”
Jasmine: “Good morning Skylar and 106.6 universe. We do have a lot to offer… For everyone. I myself perform the aesthetic side of the salon with make up, manicures, pedicures, and lashes etc. There are two stylists, Renata and Dio who are just full of personality. For the distinguishing males and strapping young men out there we have Oleg, our resident barber. Last, but not least, we have Mindy, who runs the day spa. She has a whole menu of different services.”
Skylar: “You do have a lot going on… Fantastic.. Jasmine… You opened so quickly. Can you tell us how this all come about?”
Jasmine: “Honestly, it’s been quite a journey. Just a short time ago, I was doing makeup from my bag, relying on friends and family to get me to my clients. Then I met Miss A, and she saw something in me. She gave me a chance, and now I’m responsible for this amazing salon. It’s a dream come true as she has completely changed my life.”
Skylar: “Wow, that’s an incredible story! Sounds like you were definitely in the right place at the right time. Along with your regular services, do you have any ‘Grand Opening’ specials you are offering at your salon today?”
Jasmine: “Absolutely, and yes… it was definitely a stroke of good fortune.
