Live Or Artificial?

Live bait or artificial bait? Which one is better, which one catches more fish? , which one catches bigger fish? Is there a right or wrong answer?. I think both presentations work great, it just depends on the conditions and the angler using the bait. Personally I very rarely use live bait. If the bite gets really tough then I might move to live bait to increase strikes, otherwise I try to stick with artificial baits because I prefer to impart my own action on the bait and find that I tend to catch bigger average size fish on artificials. Now I’m not saying you cant catch big fish on live bait, you most certainly can and do. I usually catch a larger average size fish with artificials over using live bait whereas I usually will get more bites with live bait. If I’m looking for the most action or table fare than i may steer towards live bait. If I’m looking for larger fish than I would probably go with the artificial bait. Just something to think about the next time your on the water, depending what your goal is maybe you can try something different.                             Fish Cowboyz Out!
